Dodge caravan help

My parents own a 2000 caravan 3.0. My father called and left a message saying that he lost the turn signals, power locks, and the air bag light was on. He is going to drive the car back home but wanted to know if I had any ideas. I don't know what to guess other than a fuse or relay, but I don't have access to any wiring diagrams....any ideas/suggestions??

Thanks for anything,
Josh

well those were common having air bag light issues due to a clockspring. odd that all 3 of those problems would happen at the same time. as for no power locks and no turn signals. my guess would be a body controller aka, BCM. as they are also a common problem on the NS vans.

i really recommend you get that baby into a dealership. its common practice for intepentant shops to tell you that they can get you a junk yard BCM for half the cost of a new one. well as many people have found out. it may end up costing you even more later on. see the BCM is built special for each car, and when you take one out of a van outta the junk yard and put it in your van, the two conficlt on how the van is equipped. the BCM and PCM will start to basicly 'fight' to see who is right and end up burning the inncorrect information in both of them and your fucked, and need to replace even more crap.

This is why we don't use junkyard parts. Customer's response is sometimes "but I can get one from Pick-n-Pull for $5 and you want to charge me $700". Then they take it over to the shop down the street that puts on junkyard parts and is still charging $35/hr and the car never gets fixed.

This is not something a do it yourselfer can diagnose and repair. Like Mopar said, get it to a dealership or a GOOD independant repair shop.

well my dad called me last night and said that he got in it after work, and the airbag light was off and he had turn signals again, but still no power locks. So we thought we could deal with that for awhile because he wants to trade it in soon, but I got a call again this morning from him that it did all the same crap again today. I'll tell him that it might have to go into the dealership and see what he says, thanks for the help mopar and everybody, maybe it's just time to trade her in we'll see.
