Did a chiefBDR workout today.

so I decided I would ride to work, well I have the new gas tank which had a fuel pump on there so I figured I would use that one.

well it didnt work out, I went and filled her up and went on my way

approaching a light she starts to die out. cant get her started and she sounds starved. pull over and try to figure it out, get illmic on the phone and see what he thinks.

couldnt get anywhere so I figured it would be best to get off of 75th street so I pushed it a quarter mile to a side street and pulled over. called the wife had her go to lowes and buy a ramp and go home and get the tie downs.

meanwhile illmic is in route and arrives 30 seconds before wife does in the truck.

we pull her apart and see if something was loose or if we were dumb but that wasnt the case so we load her up. tkae her home.

got home stared at her for awhile. got pissed. fiddled.
got pissed.

relaxed and started working on my next LED retrofit project which made us happy for a while.

then finally decided to swap the fuel pumps.

still wasnt idling and killed the battery,, me and mic swapped batteries and busted out the camera to record video to post up and see what you guys think and then voila, she starts up and was idling high at 3k(i adjusted to)

we smile and then wheel her out, we then adjusted idle to 1300k and she has been running since.

jeezuhs wut a day!

Ahh, you have come far in your training. You may walk, but your fuel pump belongs to me

Gixxers sucks. Oh wait. They rule, if you can get them running.

Gregory, I can squeeze you in Sunday morning. We are going to be painting some fairings but can get you started changing your own oil. I also have 2 sealed quarts of Yamalube you can have, so all you need to buy is an additional 2 quarts and an oil filter. Or you can do what I do and invest in a large jug of Shell Rotella 15w40. I will keep what you don't use.
