Willard: When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to my wife, until I said "yes" to a divorce. When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle.

lol yeah i had to do something very simillar to this about 2 months ago on another server and man. at least i had someone to play cards with. we played rummy all night long. I just have alot of downtime between the upgrade stages.

Are planned upgrades always consist of upgrading each and every workstation, but thats after the server upgrades.
Sometimes we are done by 1am, but have been there until 4 or 5... fun fun fun

ahhh that kinda sux.

they use the utilities on the unix machine via remote sessions so teh clients dont have to upgrade anything.

but right now we are just doing hardware, os, db upgrades.

Optimus_P is a total rat hoar and sh!tty UNIX admin!

Hey, you in there for the OMS bullshit? You really missed out on the fireworks earlier today. I think I told you that. How many smoke breaks you take already? heh

You coming into work tomorrow late again? I took off 4 stickers from the bike tonight. One was a real problem. That heat gun works well though. Want me to bring it in tomorrow?

I didn't know you are going to be in here this weekend, too. That sucks. At least there's no assholes around to say stupid things at this hour. Is the place empty?

robo74: Optimus_P sits about 5' from me. I always get treated to hearing him emotionally abuse people on the other end of the phone. =P

It's fast becoming an addiction. I didn't have it out tonight, instead spending the evening heating off warning stickers. But yeah, I like it. Heavy and the seat isn't the softest, but it's a very strong 600.
