I'm meeting up with the guy at 7 pm, gonna call the police and have them show up to see the bike with me so I don't get robbed and if it isn't legit then one less bike thief off the streets. If it is legit, new trackbike baby. Wish me luck, hope I don't get shot.

That answers my question about the paperwork. I don't know about you guys, but since I have to use my key to open my tank, I don't leave in the ignition when I go in the store.

Ok, he said he'd give me a call back to finalize things at 5pm, his phone number came up as blocked. I figure I'll call the district 20 police and see if I can get a detective or officer to come along with me, if they say no, then screw it, not worth dying for or getting robbed for. When he calls back, I'll mention that my brother, a CPD officer, will be joining me, I'll let you know how that goes.

Don't mention anyting about the cops. This is what he did. Claimed the bike stolen. collected the ins. money or the ins. paid the bike off. Now he is try to make a little more by selling the bike. Just an FYI if you by the bike get a bill of sale or else you will be out $700 when the cops pick up the stolen bike form you. That is if you have the police run the vin.

Ask him for the VIN in advance. If he won't give it to you its stolen or its like G2G said. And then you won't have bother actually going there. Its a waste of time anyway. Waste your time on here, with us.
