you could try going on iTunes, searching on "Red House" ( got a dozen or so versions when I tried) and then listen to the samples of each to see if any ring a bell. Or you could try emailing whoever the DJ was today during that time slot.

Red House....like Jimi Hendrix Red House, or did XRT play a different cover?

Keep in mind that Jimi did a few renditions of that, including a kick ass version on the "blues" album.

I think the guy was a guest at wxrt
It wasn't Hendrix but it was the same song.
I think it was the marty leanords show

Smokin guitar..

I was fumbling around finding a streaming audio recorder, but it was over by then.

I know Hendrix does it. Gary Hoey covered it.

Call them and have them look it up. They have a log of every song played.

XRT is way coool about that too - Prolly the hippest station with no attitude I have ever dealt with

Maybe Buddy Guy? I seem to remember that they had a live cut from him doing Red House.

I'd like to find that version as well.
I love hendrix music.

I would say yeah but at the end of the song the dj was saying that it was great and that they should call him little buddy or buddy jr or something like that.
(I'm guessing he was referring to Buddy Guy)

Still no email back from xrt.
I'll post up if I get a reply.
