Help? Cuban food?

I love all Latin food but I need to find a good Cuban restaurant in the Plainfield/Naperville area. Any one know of any good ones? I've seen the Samba room in Naperville go out

There used to be a place in the north-side Kimball & devon called Rancho Luna. They had great cuban food. I never heard of any cuban restaurants in the burbs.

Good luck finding any ethnic restaurant in the suburbs and if you are lucky enough to find one chances are it is watered down and Americanized. Your best bet is to go to the city to get authentic ethnic food. One of the many downsides of living in "a quiet little place called SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

+1 more for Cafe LaGuardia.

Out in the Western burbs, I've heard good things about Meson Sabika, but I've never been there. Its Nuevo Latino.

Meson Sabika is amazing...but it's Tapas...not Cuban. Cafe Laguardia is AMAZING!!!!!!!! We had a dinner there on Monday night for 'A Silver lining Foundation' which is a breast cancer foundation my friend Sandy Goldberg (channel 5 news) started. Carlos Laguardia is a friend of her s and gave us the whole place (it's small, and rally amazing ambiance
) and brought in a cuban 3 iece band for us to dance to. It was amazing!!! TONS of mojitos...and the food is to die for.

It's on Armitage and 90/94....worth the drive!

The owner is really cool, not to say you got special treatment because of your event, because he treated my wife and I really well too on a very busy night.

hey i know your not lookin downtown but restaurant/club called Rumba it's puerto rican food and a twist with african. i'm puerto rican and the food is so comparable to home cooking and cubans have very similar food. it's a very good time a little pricey but well worth it.

Good dancing after dinner is done being served also. One of the owners use to be a chef at the Hilton where I was onsite at. been there a couple of times. Very good food!

Well, all I'm going to say is that I was told by a bunch of guys that men don't fruit their Mojitos..lol!

So your Raspberry Mojito may 'technically' get your man card revoked...or at least put on suspension
