Guy at School Wrecked

I saw this on my way home from school yesterday...Hope he's OK.

Miranda Lyle, a junior in exercise science, talks with Sgt. Gerald Edwards of the SIU Police Department after she and a motorcyclist collided Wednesday evening on U.S. 51 near campus. The driver of the motorcycle was take to Carbondale Memorial Hospital for his injuries.

It's an older 600, I've seen it cruising around campus before.

Hope the rider is ok. Bike doesn't look too damaged but the pic is too small to tell for sure.

Yeah, there was like ten cop cars and an ambulance and it was raining so the whole road was a cluster fuck after this. The bike doesn't really look that damaged, but those old ninja's are tanks. I tipped mine over in the driveway and all it got was a scuff.

Do you know if that guy was in ME? There was a guy when I was there with that bike. Not sure when he was graduating, but I think his name was Steve for some reason.

+1 on hoping the rider is ok.....the way the bike looks has no bearing on how the rider fared. I've walked away from some pretty bad spills, where the bike was totaled destroyed...and then spent 3 days in the hospital, but the bike had a couple hundred bucks of damage...you never know with a bike get off

If it's who I'm think of, it's a F2 and it was actually in really nice condition. The part that worries me is that if I remember correctly, I don't think he ever wore a helmet or any gear.
