CB550 Wiring help! Free food/beer!

So I've been working on the CB550 project and I'm about 80% complete, cosmetics are done (enough) and the engine is good to go, what isn't good to go is the wiring. The harness is stock and in good shape, but I'm awful at reading wiring diagrams. I have the bike completely assembled (as far as wiring is concerned) and have started putting the connections back together but am no doubt crossing some connections.

I don't think this will be more than a 30 minute to 1 hour job, as I said, the wiring harness is stock and in fine shape, I just have a hard time differentiating colors and due to this, the wires tend to look similar.

If anyone feels like helping me out with this, I'll be glad to buy you lunch/dinner and obviously there will be plenty of beer or soda or whatever.

Thanks in advance.

I forgot to add, the bike wasn't completely disassembled, all that needs to be hooked up at this point are the wires from the controls (headlight Hi/Lo, turn signals, indicator lights, kill switch, start button, etc.), all the other electrics are still hooked up and working.

Surely, is there any particular brand of beer/food you want? Do you need any electrical gear that I should buy in advance? The connections have couplers on them now but in case any are broken/missing, I'll buy some extra. Let me know if you need anything else.

I'll bring a couple of tools. I don't think we'll need all that much electrical gear.

PM me your address and phone; probably do early afternoon on Friday.

The 70 was ridden after the wiring was finished, holy jeez is it cold outside.

BTW Morrand, after you left I sprayed the contact points a few times with contact cleaner, no help thus far, but I did put the tank back on, put about 1.5 gallons of fuel in, hit the starter and 1/2 crank later she was purring like a... a... well like a 1975 Honda. Just have a few more bugs to work out and she'll be more of less mechanically sound. Thanks again for your help, it was nice to meet you as well.

Good to hear, at least the important parts are working. I don't know what's up with the lighting circuits, but it's probably going to come down to either cleaning the bejeezus out of the light switches, or replacing them entirely.

Anyway, glad to help, and good to meet you.

I'm fine with that except when I'm making a left hand turn across a lane of traffic and the cages behind me are going 50mph and don't see me, times like those make me glad I have a bright blinking yellow light.

Also, the connections that are faulty are the ones controlling the headlight/taillight, both are necessary.

Damn right, I miss that bike too.

Those signals weren't DOT approved actually, but that was because they're too bright to pass DOT approval. If you want to ticket me for that officer, knock yourself out, I'll take the $50 ticket and have an intact spine any day of the week.
