So that was a huge rider mistake, but why would these assholes just take off when they have the only vehicle around that can easily transport an injured person.

I was thinking that maybe the bikers were riding the cage's ass because he was going slower, which is why the bikers took off and tried to pass them.

Definitely. I went last year once. The year before that three times! I usually obey the limits to a degree. Last year was very crowded but I still had a good time.
