Work related Question

So there's an option for me at work to go to Vegas and work on building server racks. I'm trying to figure out if I should go or not. It would be for 2-4 weeks it's in vegas but not any where near the strip. From what I understand I would get a rental car and a hotel room. I'd make $3000 bonus on top of my salary. The work hours would probabaly something crazy like 12 hours a day. It would be hard physical labor lifting servers and installing them. I'd be away from my friends and family for the entire time. I don't know anyone in vegas so I'd be pretty alone. What would you guys do??

Single - Do it. Just make sure to KEEP the $3000 and not donate it on the strip. There is LOTS of great things to do in and around Vegas without gambling.

Rent a Harley for a day (or a sportbike if you can get one) and head out to Red Rock Canyon and to Lake Meade. Then head another weekend out to the Grand Canyon.

Have a great time.

DO IT!!! If it is in Las Vegas you are always near the strip. If you have a rental car you can go anywhere....nothing is 'far' from the strip or downtown area. My cousin lives in LV and he thinks its crazy that I drive 22 miles to work. When he does a motorcycle ride, 30 - 40 miles entails his whole trip. He thinks WE are insane on our rides.

Go for it and have fun! Besides...you have all of those new blackberries right???? We'll bother you all the time!!

Thata boy. I would do it:

a. because its vegas
b. weather
c. because its vegas
d. bonus
e. because its vegas
f. free trip
g. because its vegas
h. gambling
i. because its vegas
j. gentlemans clubs
k. because its vegas
l. free rental car
m. because its vegas
n. close to cali
o. because its vegas.

Ok you get my point here. I've only been to vegas once, who cares if you are far from the strip you gotta a rental and the weather is hot

This is the silliest question ever posted!! I went to Las Vegas last year to help move branch locations and do the voip installation... There was a lot of physical labor moving furniture, running cable, etc and I still found energy to party. Worked from 7am-7pm and then hit the casinos for the free drinks and then hit the strip clubs. Back to the hotel to wash all the stripper stench off and then back to work again. As long as you have Red Bull for the days and alcohol for the nights you can have a blast! There is plenty to do if you are alone.

I would recommend making a little time to sleep though! I went 7 days straight without sleeping and took a red eye back home and went straight to work and ended up falling asleep in the middle of the president's presentation.

Sometimes your knight in shining armor is just a retard wrapped in tin foil.
