Live Music - Chicago - Days Gone by

So to take a break in the office today, we struck up a convo of great "live" bands that were pretty much just local - Then we narrowed down (after ya know any Wax Trax or like Material Issue stuff) and I brought up this band and no one had ever been to see them and I was floored - They once played every Sunday Night at the Double Door and the crowd was way cool and heavy with the chick population - Am I the only one who remembers:

Liquid Soul

And the second band I brought up (again they never saw) was pretty much narrowed to an "era" and they died as fast as they grew but again, the "live" shows these guys put on were great - The Green Mill was home to these cats and I dug catchin their shows the most - Again, heavy with the chick population - Anyone remember:

The Mighty Blue Kings

Paladin - Never caught them, no, but I can see why there was a fun show to be had

I am just going back and watching the Liquid Soul and Mighty Blue Kings with a smile from ear to ear - Man I was a fucked up just outta college kind doin anything I could get my hands on and trying to experience all Chicago had (from a nightlife scene that is) every fuckin weekend - I miss being young

These guys played at our Fraternity parties (way early 90's) and the lead singer would hang all over my girl - They were two bands (Johnny with an I & Water For The Pool) that formed The Verve Pipe and before they got commercial they were great live (and yes they did more than "The Freshman")
