Best Snowboarding in the U.P.?

I've decided to push my colorado trip back until March so I'd like to go to the U.P. in january for 5 days in search of some midwest powder. They have to have a decent terrain park, and powder. I looked at Bohemia and it looks awesome except there are no beginner runs and not everyone in my party could handle that. Where else? I'd like to hit up 2 or 3 different resorts. Remember... Powder, Terrain park, snowboarding, lol. Marquette Mountain looks pretty good has anyone been there? Comparison to places like granite peak/chestnut/cascade? I hear Bohemia gets about 300" annual snowfall.

Blackjack - Indian Head - Iron Mountain

Never been to any of them, but I hear they're decent - and close enough that you can hit them on different days.

"powder" and "mid-west" rarely go together.

hahaha
I have been to all of the major "resorts" in the U.P. and northern WI. They all suck. Even if they have great snow, they all have short runs, very very few if any high speed lifts, and you are surrounded by a bunch of midwest hillbillys on rental skis wearing Carhart overalls that have no concept of mountain etiquette. You end up spending more time in the lift line than on the slope. All of this for 7-8 hours in the car?? Get on a plane of point your vehicle westward.

ya..... the more I think about it I don't want to drive 14 hours in 5 days.

I just pieced together a trip to CO for $502 for 4 nights hotel, roundtrip air, shuttle service, and 3 lift tickets. Can't beat that. The UP would probably only be a hundred bucks cheaper and I'd have to drive
