I really want to stop off in Aussie in April.. Wife and I are going to Fiji for a couple weeks.. Should have a month to burn..

I have always wanted to move there.. Never been there.. but something about the place just seems like home

I dove it back in 2001 and it was incredible. The water was amazingly clear, it was scary, you'd get down to 90 feet and it looked like 30 feet which totally screwed with my head when it came to decompression stops. Saw a shark (nothing big) and took some pictures that would have looked amazing if I had a decent camera but none of the fluorescence turned out in the shot.

When I went, we were all around Australia so we only were in Cairns for a couple days, only got one day of diving. We took a boat out to a pontoon station where the ladies went snorkeling and we went diving. Wasn't too expensive either, highly recommended.

nice! i hear the really cool scuba spots take a like 4+ hours to get to so its better to live off boat and make a couple days out of it.

Hurry and do it.. The reef is bleaching out very fast...
So sad.... I fear that we may be the last generation to see beautiful reefs...
They have been putting large light shields of plastic over the reef in an effort to save it as much as possible.. but.. that's basically like holding an umbrella over a football stadium

I have done scuba diving in the British Virgin Islands. Wow. It is a must do event. So many beautiful fish. You can hand feed them too.

You haven't lived until you swam with sharks. Albeit I only saw a small nurse shark, felt so cheated! I saw some giant barracudas, sea turtles and giant grouper. Such an awesome experience.

Did I tell you the best part? A woman's ass looks 10x better under the ocean. The salt water perks everything right up. The more you know.

An old room mate from Sydney spent a week on a boat at the reef diving. Not sure where as it is a pretty big reef.

Let me know if you want more details about the company etc. and I will get in touch with her.

She had a great time.

FUNK DAT! I'm scared to death of the ocean. I snorkled down in the Bahamas, that was enough for me after a huge sting ray swam underneath me. Don't get ate or stung by anything.
