NYE @ Navy Pier??

I know it's late but I was thinking of going down to Navy Pier for New Years this year....

Has anyone been out there before?

Any idea on what bars/restaurants will be open/available in that area?

I'm not looking for a fancy dinner or ballroom dancing....just to go out and have some drinks - more of a couples thing.

Any ideas? TIA.

How sweet, you're taking your boyfriend?

Jokes aside, I think I went like 6 years ago. There are fireworks right? It was shitty, cold and kinda crowded. You're better off having a few friends over and kicking in the New Year that way.

I actually went out on the pier 4 years ago or so. There must've been 500,000 people there with me. It was impossible to move and we didn't end up seeing much anyway. Stay at home, drink in the New Year

That's what I'm planning to do. Me and some other friends have dates on NYE at some high end dining around 5, then we're going to head back to a buddys house and party it up till the next day.
