His work noticed him on youpr0n too much and "took away" his interw3bz privileges, guess they said he browses too much.

He's sad, yes because his rep will suffer. His post count will go down or he will get fried.

If you go to Tools - internet options - connections - lan settings, it will show if you go thru a proxy. Else they may me reading your index.dat file. That shows a complete log of your web history - even if you clear internet history from your browser, it is still in your index.dat, easily viewed with an index.dat reader.

You should look into installing a virtual PC on top of your pc so it creates a seperate component, ip address and user config files.

OR get a smartphone with unlimited data that could browse the web.

That or just be a model employee and do your job while at work and post up when off for the day??

A Novel Approach indeed - They have sooooooo many tools out there to do what they do Bro, it is sick - I sell a ton of them too

My boss snuck up on me the other day and saw CLSB and asked what i was doing - I showed him the 'Geek Squad Forum" and spoke of a few members and what they do (left company names out of course) and explained that is yet another medium for me to keep an open eye and ear to - He "atta-boy'ed" me for thinking outside the box

They could just be reading the router logs for web traffic and tracing the src IP back to a specific employee (not hard to do). No access to your PC is required.

As for the ssh trick, look into option -L

If you google index.dat, you will see plenty of readers and also ways to delete the file. acesoft.net is one of many companies with these tools.

As that Bug guy said though, they may monitor using something completely different. If thru a Proxy, no way to delete that log unless you administer that server.

Hey MoparBoyy, are RSS newsfeeds available on each forum?

Then Burntash could configure and get updates put into a newsreader and never have to hit the site. Of course, he will get lots and lots of entries in there as it basically captures every single entry someone makes.
