Donnie Darko

One of the most loaded films I have seen.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Just put this movie in... anything that I should be looking for as I'm watching it? I've had to start it over a couple times because I needed a beer or was looking on here. I had a co-worker tell me I won't understand it so I'm already wondering what's going to throw me off...

Gotta watch it a few times and even then it's hard to understand exactly WTF is going on unless you're one of those English major lit analysts like Paladin for example. I had to have someone tell me what's up and I still don't get it 100%. Regardless that shit is tripped the fuck out and a great movie. Have fun!

I don't get it... if there was something deeper than the surface value then I really missed it.

That movie is amazing...but then again, I love the movies where you get to the end and have an "oh, so that's what was going on" moment (ie pulp fiction, basic, swordfish, momento, donie darko)

"Why are you wearing that stupid bunny suit" "Why are you wearing that stupid human suit"

Oh and they have some "extra content" online that you can click through the puzzle and figure out a little more stuff. I forget the website off hand and I can't look it up at work. I think it's like donniedarko.com or something.

llama spit - that is all.

If you have the dvd, there is a deleted scene where Jake Gyllenhaal reads a poem in front of the class. The poem explains everything.
