For the dog and cat lovers...

My dad is the Director of Sales for JLA Pets in Plainfield who manufacture high end Dog and cat beds (this is his home off and JLA Pets Distribution Center). Anyhow...they have just opened an outlet store in the DC...it's not being widely promoted, only by word of mouth. The prices are UNBELIEVEABLE! These are high end pet beds some retailing for around $300, and most selling in the $10 - $25 range at the outlet. I just bought the $300 one for the min pins for $25...it's taupe suede.

This company does a lot for local rescues, and has donated a ton of needed food and beds to Dobes in Dobe rescue.

Anyhow, I'm working on getting an additional discount for CLSB members if there's some interest.

For now, here is the info on location and hours. It's like 10 mins from my house so if anyone goes on a Thurs or Fri PM me first and I can meet you up there...

JLA Pets
(Entrance on the East side of the building)
14420 Van Dyke Rd
Plainfield IL 60544

hours:
Weds, Thurs, Fri 3:00PM - 9:00PM
No weekend hrs as of now
**Cash and Carry Only...No Credit Cards or Checks**

Nice. Let's see if Tyson like the taste of high end beds as much as he liked the taste of the Wal-Mart variety.

Bad Tyson!..lol...At least he can shred a classy bed..lol hahaha.

I should mention, Besides being suppliers to Frontgate, foster and Smith etc...they also Supply beds for Costco, Walmart, Petco etc.... so in the outlet they often have some of the mass produced beds dirt cheap (I think I saw a lab size one for like $7!)

No, I don't think so. I think I have some pics in my camera I can upload..but it doesn't represent the whole line. The beds change all the time and are made to the customers specs....

The beds in the outlet are either samples, discontinued lines, or overstock...all first run.

when you say cat bed, does that mean cat furniture as well? like towers for them to climb? I have been bitching about the prices of cat furniture forever :P i'd make the long drive for a nice tower.

No cat furniture...except beds and cat nappers...

If you looking for great cat furniture. try the Chicagoland pet show (you can google it). It's at Arlington Park Race track sometime in the spring.

Cat Hammocks? Brianne wants to get some Hammocks for the Bengals.

If I get off my arse and get to my workshop, I was going to make some nice cat trees. I'm even thinking about making some out of real branches, I like the way they look with real branches and the half circle "nests".

I went to that pet show at Arlington, and my hotel Hosted it in 2007 (Renaissance Schaumburg). I wasn't impressed with much of the cat stuff I saw for sale...lots of dog stuff though. Some nice cat trees (made from real tree branches in fact), but not much else that we cared about.

I haven't been to the pet show in years. We used to do a breed awareness booth for Illini Doberman Pinscher Club...but we now usually have dog shows conflicting on that same weekend.

Where do you live? Come on a Friday, we'll shop the outlet store and then we'll get a bunch of people together from the board and hit the bars in DT Naperville, or DT plainfield off of 126 (cool bars there...Moe Joe's rocks!).

San Antonio.
I'm here in town until Monday. Then I fly to Denver for a week, THEN I get to go "home" to TX.
When I'm in town here, I'm in North Barrington at my parent's house....or in burntash's bed
