Car Audio

So my family pitched in and bought me an Audi for Christmas. I am wanting to do some Audio upgrades and wanted to see what some of my options are.

Can anyone recommend a reputable Audio Dealer/Installer in the Naperville/Plainfield or even Chicago area?

Thanks in advance!

Jesse

If you want top bling , bling for audio, kinda what you see on pimp my ride....go to ShowtimeAudio.net My friends there do very good work. They worked on Chris Angel's"Mind Freak" Hummer and rapper Twista's hummer aswell not to mention they won Best of show at the Dub's show 3 yrs in a row.

If you just want a classy job done right, Abt in Glenview is great. Milwaukee Ave. just south of Euclid/Lake Ave. They are kind of pricy though.

You have any idea of what you want to do? Subs, speakers, TV, etc.

Right off the bat I'd like to change out my tuner. Maybe go with Alpine but am going to look at what's out there. My main concern is getting the new tuner to fit right and not look "half ass." I want to be able to play my ipod as well.
If those 2 things go well, I'm looking to upgrade all the speakers in the car and add an amp or two.

My main concern is to have the job done right and look prime.

You won't be disapointed in Jerry. All he puts in is Alpine. He can make that TT look bad Ass.

just tell him what kinda rims you want , and he'll put them on the big screen for(plasma over the counter) you so you can see them. It's cool how all the parts you want will be in a 52in plasma and you can see what your gettting.

on the new ride. I almost ended up with a coupe. You probably know this but check out some of the Audi forums to see what's what. You may even be able to find a nice used set of rims there. I've been checking bestwheeldeals.com for my Excursion & 350Z. Pretty decent prices.

Echo Vcook, OEM nav (RNS-E or D?) + Dension Icelink (for Ipod) FTW. Pricey though, cheapest i've seen it go for is $1100, and it's for the RNS-E version.

Stay away from Tweeter next to Fox Valley. The people are nice enough, but they don't know as much as they should about car audio.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
