Yeah got pretty scary up here sat night when the tornado sirens went off. Right to the basement. Power went out and on the EMER. radio they said a tornado was sighted over hanoverpark headed NE toward Elk Grove but thank the man it never touched down and it broke apart.

My poor little trees I just planted.

I gotta go out there tonight and see if they are going to make it.

I actually bbq'd yesterday for my mom and mother-in-law though. The grill kept blowing out but we got it done and I got killer points for going out there and cooking some jerk chicken for them.

I'm sooo proud of my dog, he sucks as a guard dog, Golden Retriever would just lick someone to death. But most dogs freak out during storms or heavy winds like we just experienced this past weekend, but this guy did not freak out at all... just business as usual. Some lawn furniture was rearranged at my Mom-in-law's house, but besides that no one had damage to their house around my area. Did see some trees down and stuff in the news. Feel for those people, insurance companies can be such a pain to deal with some times. (We also did some BBQing yesterday ) Chicagoans BBQ in the middle of winter, a little wind is not going to stop us

All of the trees in my yard are rather old and strong, but all of my neighbors lost at least one tree. Rather large ones, too. I don't know how we managed to escape the wind yesterday, that was some crazy shit. My dog didn't seem to like the wind too much, I took her for a few walks and she didn't wanna stay out much longer then she had to

I started outside, and then moved the grill into the garage. I was afraid the damn thing was going to blow over.

We lost some siding here and there too. I think we're lucky it wasn't worse!

That's for sure. I was cleaning up my place sunday afternoon and I thought it was gonna blow over. I thought I better turn the tv on to see if I was supposed to be running for cover. Of course the cable was out so I had to turn on the radio. I locked all the animals in the basement though so they were fine. I figured that's all the wife would of cared about anyway.

A 3 or 4 foot diameter tree was snapped in half by my house.

My car started moving at a stop light from the wind, only a few inches but it freeked me a bit.
