So am I being to hard on a seller

So I purchase something on ebay really cheap, and I saw the shipping cost is really cheap too. Lets say for an example, 1 dollar. When I attempt to pay, the seller changed the shipping to 8 dollars. So I reply back saying WAT. I tell her it says $1. So she's bitching in her replys that it costs 4 to ship it and she wants a handeling fee. So yesterday, I paypal her and I notice on paypal instead of ebay, I can edit the shipping, so I put it for $1. So today, she's having a Rant. Stating that it really costs this much to ship and she lost money because the item is really worth this much. Plus, shes going to relist it but than in another message, she's going to ship it out.

I replied back telling her she's committing fraud if she refuses to go with the transaction. I will submit a dispute that I did pay. She should have set a reserve if she wanted to get some money out of it. Next time don't set a shipping and handeling fee before an auction. So am I being to much of an Arch. Should I paypal her 2 extra dollars, or let her learn the consequences.

If she was nice about it and asked for permission to charge more for shipping because she made an honest mistake and was appealing to your better nature and understanding... I would float her the few dollars.

If she was being a bitch about it, screw her.

I sent her one message stating, I don't understand why the shipping is this amount?

She replies back with "post office media mail small box cost 6 dollars"

I reply back, WAT Can you reply back because I don't understand what you just said.

She sends 3 messages of me not wanting to pay her. Since like I can reply to all her messages within a 3 hour period, when I'm catching up on sleep from looking at Pron.

A deals a deal. I once had a seller try that with me. Raised the shipping rate from $5 to $20. Maoisn doesn't play that game.

Dispute it, unless she lives close by and can 'make it up to you'.

If she fucks over 100 people like that, she's made herself an additional $700.

The handling fee is a crock. If she wanted a handling fee, she could have listed it with the auction. Can't go back and change the terms of the sale now.

You have to be a little more careful about shipping. Ebay has the option to preset different shipping options, and it will automatically estimate the shipping and display it with the auction. If she decided to list shipping at $1 flat she's still out of luck, but if she listed it as actual cost shipping and eBay messed up, that's different.

I doubt that's the case, though.

If you specify an exact shipping rate, then the seller has to suck it up if it ends up costing more to ship it. If you want to have the seller pay... ad should read "seller pays all shipping to location."

She gets $1

it's a book. So it was classified as media mail. When I tried to pay, it went from media mail to priority. So thats when I questioned her and got some weird ass response back of the box being big.

what is the item?

I would be a little pissy since she is being a wench.

yes, packaging 2$ since media mail only does certain packages due to ripping etc.

media mail cost 3$

I would be honest and give her 5$ for shipping. less the items isnt worth it or she continues to be a pain.

Edit, tell her to use bubble mailers instead of boxes, that way doesnt need to ship large item

Edit2
"A handling fee is only good if you plan on handling my balls" "since you dont plan to, theres no need for it" "if you really need it, higher an illegal immigrant to do it so your handling fee will be cheaper"

its a pron book. or uh a book with no pictures

I think I got the book for 2 dollars. And it said media mail, 3 dollars. When I went to pay it. It stated priority. So I asked her why is it more than what it is stated. She gave me some weird ass answer. So i told her to explain to me what she said. Then she goes nutso, telling me I don't want to pay.

Dude, never admit to having more than one account, eBay will beat your ass for that shit.

That said, the whore needs to ship your shit, it's her fault for not setting a reserve.

I like the "it weighs 2-4 lbs" I should ask her so how much does it cost for 2lbs and 4lbs. And does it weigh more when you put it on the scale a 2nd time. I always have problems with women selling stuff on ebay.

Women and numbers... never trust them. This is why I only buy automotive parts and computer equipment off eBay, the chance of having to do business with a woman are severely decreased. I'll pay the extra and get any books I want shipped from Amazon any day.

Sounds like a nutty broad that doesn't understand how eBay works. It's a contract, and she set the terms, and you agreed to it.

eBay probably won't help much, but report it anyways, then NEG her. But chances are, the account you're using will get neg'd as well.

What's her feedback rating by the way? I bet she's got zero to 5 feedbacks.
