Wow did MCC piss me off yesterday

I go in there to dump some more of my hard earned savings into the money pit that is my 916, upon walking in the door the new white 848 catch's my attention and steers me away from going to the sacrificial alter....er I mean parts counter. Immediately the little dark haired guy comes out from behind the counter and starts his sales pitch, telling me what an awesome machine it is. I agree and tell him that I have too many ducati's at the moment and the neighbors are starting to notice the missing chickens I have been stealing to sacrifice to this place. So we agree that I wont be leaving with an 848 today and walk back tot he pats counter, I walk up to the front of the counter and he walks up to the back, where he promptly answers the phone, mind you there's 2 other guys right around the corner that could have answered it, I stand there waiting while he completes this call, then once thats done he just disappears into the back leaving me standing there. I'm hello I am standing here with a chicken and it's getting angry, I need some parts? no answer. So I said fuck this I will just shop online came home and fried up the chicken.

Most motorcycle shops Ive gone too don't give the best/fastest service. I figure it gives me time to look around at the toys though.

At least MCC can usually look the parts up successfully once they're done ignoring you. At my local Yamaha dealer they usually turn the computer screen around and I just tell them where to click the mouse. I've yet to go into a bike dealer and be impressed by the level of service, other than Harley dealers when I've gone in to buy t-shirts and stuff.

I've gotta call up and order a few things today, and ask Dirt Master Zero a few questions. I'll mention it to him. The guy you're talking about is a sales guy, and doesn't really know the parts system that well. But he should've grabbed one of the parts guys for you, no doubt.

I'm surprised though, I thought MCC was generally very well liked?

Geez, why don't you complain to THEM? Have a word with the manager/owner (geoff or greg) and deal with it right then and there. Its not worth coming home to bitch about it online.

I think you should have called him out right then and there.

I agree that the sales pitch thing was bad. His first question should have been 'how can I help you?' and then you would have replied "I need some parts" and that would have been that.

Sorry about your bad experience, but next time, take it to the dealer FIRST.

We must have the same dealer.
They didn't know what a speedo was & I had to find it for them on the exploded diagram.
And tried to sell me a clutch lever for $60.Retards.

LOL I cant count the amount of times I've told users that. In fact it's the whole reason I refuse to accept sponsorships from dealers for this site anymore. Figure everyone else felt the need to bitch about dealers and loose money in sponsorships for me, so I've earned the right to bitch about a dealer on my site.

I've given them the chance to give back to the community that supports them by sponsoring this site and they refused, I dont feel sorry for them, and it's not worth the confrontation to me, oh and it's not the first time. I went in there looking to buy a multistrada, and the same guy quoted me a 1000 OVER sticker. I said thank you very much and took my business to Corse. I now have an awesome S model in my garage at a great price and got free luggage for it.

Liberty Cycle up here in Libertyville underwent another management change.

They went through one last year too. It's insane how many sales guys I've seen go through there in a year. I walk in and it's like I'm a fucking stranger even though I know the store better than they do.

I walked in and introduced myself to the guy greeting to let him know that I just head straight for parts. Wasn't being rude, but just honest that I don't want to talk to him.

And whats up with the coffee situation, you would think with the coffee stereotypes about ducati riders, especially S owners, that they would have fantastic coffee.

Yeah, thats Gregg a.k.a. Dirt Master Zero. He and his brother Geoff are the owners. He's been at it so long he can rattle off 10-digit Ducati part numbers from memory and he's even better w/ the KTMs. It's sick.

John's not a bad guy once you get to know him, but he does come off the wrong way sometimes. I've dealt with him for all the bikes I've bought there.
