Bio-mechanical Tattoo's

I've seen some awesome designs, and I've been thinking of getting one for a while but never came up with a unique design I liked. Heres some examples, discuss.

Theres an awesome one I used to have a pic of, it was the normally interweaving skin concept with pipes and tubes and shit, with a skull coming out of it. It looked freakin sweet, but the artist who did it had no interest in doing another tattoo even remotely similar.

I personally not a big fun of colored tattoos. The concept is not bad, but you need to find a good design.

I've actually been thinking about the same concept for years now, but have never gotten around to pursuing it. I found one design that I really liked, but have since lost it in a hard drive crash. I want one center between my shoulder blades, and the design I found had a bunch of gears, tubes, other mechanical shit and a mechanical looking spinal column. I'll have to search for it again.

Ron Paul and Bio-mech tattoo's, what can I say, the man has taste

On the back seemed kind of pointless as you can't see it yourself, and unless you have a habit of walking around with your shirt off (fuck it's cold in Chicago) then few people are going to see it either.

I'd rather have it on my back so that I don't get sick of it

That's really the one thing stopping me besides the design that I'm afraid the "coolness" will wear off in a year or so.

A friend of mine has a nice solution to that. He gets the design drawn/painted then framed. He then puts it at the end of his bed and if after a year he still like it he gets it done.
