Wii Support Those Who Support Us

All right kiddies - The Wii arrived Safe & Sound - Tony, lets do this shit this weekend if ya can Bro - Now, what I ask of those currently in possession of a Wii, what games rock and what games suck? - We have some dough to play with so lets hook Jay (BWA) and his mates up

Post up what to get and what to avoid and Burned Ass, kindly refrain from the "My Pretty Pony" and such 5 yrs of age & under recommendations

Thanks again to all those who shot Tony some $$ - You are aces!

BWA was asking for old DVD's and books and shit to keep he and the lads from going bonkers - I decided to buy them a Wii Gaming System and Tony offered to broker the donation pool for games and accessories

Here is the original thread, he has the address where things could be mailed. Later it was decided that we would donate cash to Tony's paypal for games while Bug purchased a Wii for the guys to enjoy.

I highly recommend Wii Play. It has about 8 different games like fishing, pool, shooting, cow racing, etc. Most GameStop locations have it and it includes a free remote which is worth $40! I also like Super Mario Galaxy.

I would recommend using some of the money to buy an extra remote and nunchuck so people can play each other. Remote is $40 and the nunchuck is $20 but as I said earlier some games include the remote for free.

FYI- Bug, the nunchuck connects to the remote and is used in certain games like boxing.

And DDR. Also, Bug, think about getting the controller charger so they can recharge the batteries in the controllers!

We are going to look through the games tomorrow....is there a meet up spot somewhere? I have Need for Speed Carbon and maybe one other.

+1 on the charger. I went through a set of batteries in 4 days when I first got the Wii. The charger comes with 2 rechargable batteries, battery covers for the back of the wii-mote, and a stand. Invaluable tool unless you want to be constantly swapping batteries.

Good point on the controller. If I remember correctly, they are playing on a 13" tv... soooo hopefully they can swing multiplayer.

I got it when they first came out so I had EVERYBODY in the family playing it. I don't think it got shut off for the first 24 hours when I brought it home

Batteries last MUCH longer now, but if they get a lot of use out of it, the charger is totally worth it.

As we sit at this very moment I have 550.00 in donations, thanks guys, as Bug says you are all Aces. So I think we can afford some accessories if wii need them. but I need a list of games as well. What are the top games that are must haves, to stat with? then we can work from there.

I'm assuming the guys won't be able to hook the Wii up to the internet, right? If by chance they can, we can spend some money on a Wii card that will allow them to dowload a buttload of games from the Wii shop for cheap.

Also, Gamecube games work on the Wii as well and I think Gamecube has a better selection in games... Don't have any recommendations on those games tho. Lol.

i'm guessing that multiplayer is key out there. I would definately get a few extra controllers and nunchucks.

There is a shooting game called Link's (as in Zelda) crossbow challenge, or something like that. I don't remember the exact name, but it comes with a gun like thing you put the wii-mote into.

Super Mario Galaxy - kick ass one player game

Wii play - more little games, but it comes with a Wii-mote. bonus!

Wii sports comes with the system, and I probably play that more than any other game.

If I think of any others, i'll post up.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance

Far Cry - never played, but it got good reviews on other systems.
