Dog Whiiiiiiiiisperer

So I admit I love this show and I don't own a dog. After watching the Dog Whisperer intermitantly for a year now, I've started to wonder if any of the idiots on the show, actually watch the show. Safe for the extreme cases it's all basically the same principal's repeated and yet the people seem amazed when Caesar wrangles the little bastards.

I think I could Whisper some dogs. Call me if your having problems, I want to try out my calm, assertive, pack leaderness.

I tried some of the stuff from that show on my cat, worked like a charm.

The guy was talking about how pack leader will let out really low pitched growls when one of the other members of the pack is upsetting him. Whenever my cat tries to eat out of my bowl, I look at him in the eyes, growl for about 1 second and he sits down next to the bowl, looks at the floor and waits for me to finish (then I typically give him a piece of meat), it worked beautifully.

Cesar is actually an amazing dog trrainer who took BASIC dog training techniques and marketed it into a multi million dollar business. I will tell you this...he is VERY serious about what he does though, it's not an act.

My dad has the Cesar Milan license for dog beds now...and when Cesar heard my dads boss was deathly afraid of German Sheperds (he was bit as a child) Cesar said he can't do business with a person/company who is afraid of dogs and doesn't understand animal behavior. So Cesar insisted my dad's boss fly out to Cali (my dad's boss was VERY reluctnant, but knew he would loose a profitible license) and Cesar had an intervention at his kennel. He worked with my dad's boss for a full day with GSD's and by the time he flew back... He no longer feared GSD's. I watched the video of the intervention...it was pretty remarkable! Maybe this guy should be working with people even moreso than dogs!

The cool thing is Cesar is scheduled to come to Plainfield to tour my Dad's DC/and offices and my brother and I get to have dinner with them . I'm a nerd I know...but I'm a big fan. His techniques work.
