Commute times...

I am guessing it will take me two hours to get home today (Morton Grove to Arlington Heights). it normally takes 30 minutes max.

45 Minutes from Schaumburg to Wheaton normally...I'm expecting another 2+ hour drive. In fact, I'm leaving soon...I'm still pissed off about the last accident I was in, and still fighting with insurance companies, I don't want to go through this again.

It really isn't that bad. Tons of schools were already closed, and most closed early, and businesses are letting employees leave early, therefore less idiots on the road doing 5mph.

Roads ARE horrible. Be safe!

LaGrange to Downers Grove. Normal 25 minutes. I estimate 35.

Since everyone on this planet went home early except for those working with me, my commute should be fairly quick. Straight shot down 94 from Old Orchard to Irving pk rd. Normally 45 minutes in traffic, should be about 30 if there's no cars.

CNA let their employees go home at 2:00pm.

I of course do not work for CNA.

Metra train for me. Hopefully the tracks have the flames on them tonight. Always a nice touch to ride thru the flames.

I'm home already...the Scion is stuck in half way up the drive...I'm waiting for the snow to stop before digging...I already cleaned it once. I think I have about 4" right now...I cleared 4" this morning.

I don't know about you guys but the snow out by my neck of the woods isn't as bad as it might be for you guys up north. I'm in Downers Grove for work and it's more of a slushy wet snow. Not much accumulation either. That being said, my commute from Downers Grove to "A quiet little place called SHUT THE FUCK UP!" will STILL suck.

pretty bad up here, still snowing and blowing. I did take the FJ out around noon to see if I could help pull the snow plow out of the ditch he got himself in.

I didn't bother even hooking up though, he was in deep, full of sand and stuck good. I did want to get a pic of an FJ pulling a snow plow out of a ditch though.

My drive time is usually 45-50 minutes from Oak Park to Westmont).....however during snow it could take 20-30 minutes extra. Mostly cause people are aware that you can do the speed limit on plowed roads. (rolleyes) My toughest battle will be Oak Park/River Forest. Apparently they loan their plows to other cities to help them out and then forget to plow their hometowns.

I just went from itasca to Oak Park and it took about an hour. Roads were much worse out west than closer to the city.

I'm at home they let us leave early! But if anyone lives around Vernon Hills good luck! I don't know what it is but they don't plow their streets up there! Seriously! The layer of ice I was driving on had so many ripples and holes in it that I felt like I was off roading! 294 wasn't bad but it was still early! It (294) was ideal driving conditions compared to the streets up there!
