Move 800 miles only to get let go...

So I move 800 miles east, settle in, have this nice shiny new job and 6 months later they let me go because they over hired and I was making the most of the bunch while profits started plummeting.

I'm gonna go get smashed. Anyone have any IT ties on the east coast haha

Wow that sucks man... I've been laid off before as well... it is definately not a good feeling. All I can say is... don't let it get you down and get right back on the horse.

Capital Lighting Supply is a good place to work with plenty of room for climbing the ladder once you get your foot in the door.

Good luck, and get out of Bowie. Check out Alexandria, VA or the like.

I don't have anything in MD, but I may have some stuff in NYC. Is that an option? If it is, PM me and I'll forward your resume to my people at Met Life. They are always looking for good IT people. They have offices in New Jersey and Manhattan.
