They changed the Pentagon...

This might be old news, but when the government rebuilt the Pentagon after 9/11 they changed the layout.

I just noticed this on Google Earth.

The Pentagon originally had 5 rings all the way around. The rebuilt sections have the inner 2 rings joined to make one big section.

I wonder what's in that new part. It sure does give them a lot more space.

By the amount of HVAC equipment on the roof, I would say it filled with servers or telecom equipment. looks like one of my data centers.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Simple...

That's to make sure another missle, er, uh, big giant plane doesn't crash into the other rings and ruin the amazing pent-a-lawn that swallows planes whole and leave no evidence.

Probably. That's one thing the Pentagon was lacking, a lot of IT stuff. They tried putting more in during the renovation of the 90's but they didn't have the space they needed.

Please do. Also ask him if they rebuilt the air traffic control tower on that side. I actually tried to get that tower as a duty station, but was told the slots were full. I'm glad they were.

It is quite possible that it is IT stuff. I worked in an electrical supply company out there and we were shipping TONS of low voltage wire there.

Oh jease here we go... to be fair since I've moved here everyone I talk to who works downtown saw an actual plane hit the pentagon.

Also yea it looks like they decided to scrap the plan for a larger datacenter.

Thanks Chills. I remember back in the day I could type stuff and people got me. Now it's just simple minds easy to fool. I miss the good ol days.

Now I have to deal with people like BanditCPA leaving negative comments on my UserCP scratching my nice collection of green balls and turning them red. Couldn't come here and discuss things.

Anyways, was that plane thing ever proven or was it a hush hush thing and we just focused on the twin towers?

You just need to post on the board more often so people will get you. Just keep your posts short like this one or else no one will read them.

No, they didn't prove it. The plane didn't really exist, it was a Scientologist UFO.

You can pay to have your property blocked from google maps/earth?
I know you can submit to have yourself removed from streetview if the cam catches you (there are pages of embarrassing picture on google streetview.. google em)
I thought only sensitive govt sites were blurred.. There are a number of sites blurred around the world...
Cheney's is one of the odder ones.. I mean.. It's not like well.. It's not like it makes any difference at all.. Does it?
What would anyone do with that info... Seeing as even though he blocked it from the masses.. you'd think anyone who was going to do anything wouldn't need it or would easily get around that..
Seems to me like putting a speedbump in front of the whitehouse to keep terrorists out.. Wouldnt they just go over/around it?
