Need some Help

Next Saturday I am about 90% sure I am wanting to go pick up yet another bike. The problem is, getting it home. It's in WIsconsin about 2 hours north of me.

I know there are some folks that have covered trailers and equipment useful for carrying a bike. It would need to be covered. I could rent a truck and all that, but I'd rather bring someone along to help and me pay them - keep the money in the family.

So here is the deal:

I will know for sure what the deal is by the end of the weekend. If all looks good, I am going to take the plunge and get it. I would need to get up there by about 10:00am as it is in storage that closes at noon on Saturdays.

I will pay for all gas and mileage: I will give you $0.35 a mile (About $130.00) for the 360 mile trip plus gas. I will also throw in another $100.00 just for your time (roughly 6 hours). The bike comes with nice stands, but I will need good tie-downs as well.

Any takers?

Well, it's this:

https://www.chicagolandsportbikes.com...ad.php?t=67470

I happened to be on this morning and Tony messaged me to take a look. i did and I talked to the owner. I am going up tomorrow morning to look at it. If all looks good, I will lay down some cash on it and arrange for transport. Worst case he is willing to have it held for me for a couple of months, but I don't think I could wait that long not to have it in my garage

It's going to sit in a garage and stay clean like all other Ducatis Most likely, if all goes well, it will be a track bike along with the RC51.

once you ride this thing, it will be your first choice everytime you go into the garage. True story.

Oh and if for some ungodly reason you end up not liking it after you buy it, you can always donate it to my collection as a tax write off. I need a turblanche superbike to round out my collection.

Why hasn't someone suggested that he just spend some of his mega-millions and buy his own enclosed trailer??

I suggest everyone band together and trailer-block him. Like cock-blocking, but with a trailer.

I am waiting for the "I just bought 10 sq mi of land and I am building my own track, need help with the layout" thread.

Paul, for that price, I would say it is a good buy. That is one bike I would like to try once. We can swap the RSV for the Duc, sometime this summer?

I was considering getting rid of it for the past month, actually. It was heavier than I really liked. While great as a street stormer, it was too heavy for a track bike for me. Getting another bike made the decision easier, but so did the constant whining of my cousin REALLY wanting the RC51. I got more than I paid for it so I am happy
