I saw a Bio on Christian Bale. This movie was shot and then they wanted Leo DiCaprio for the lead role and they rewrote the whole thing and made the ending socially redeemable.

Thank go DiCaprio want to do the Beach instead. The Movie tanked and was almost pulled from Sundance it was the video market that made it.

That clip is one of the best parts in the whole movie. Good thing Dicaprio didn't get it...I am not a fan. this role was meant for Christian Bale.

I'd have to agree on both counts. The ONLY other batman I liked was Michael Keaton...but Christian Bale is perfect for the Batman role.

I thought I remember an interview where he said water and vitamin supliments?

I have read some studies and it does take its toll on the system - The flip side is you can really only do that kind of shit when you are young and have the metabo to bounce back quick - When the body ages more, so does your overall health risk - If I was getting paid that, I would do whatever it takes to make it while I could then just chill the fuck out in the hills of Italy and become a cobler or some shit

He started filming Batman 3 months after the filming wrapped on the machinist from what I remember (saw an interview with him about it on A & E I believe). He had to gain a ton of weight and mucle during that period of time and looked to Robert DiNiro for help as he had to do the same thing for a movie he did (was it cape fear?).
