Dam, I didn't know Monica Belluci is in that. I love Monica Belluci.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Monica Belluci looked best in Dobermann (french) & Brotherhood of the Wolf

I saw it and the sex scene is weak @ best
It's way over-the-top action movie, makes Rambo look human

That movie was freaking crazy to me, way over the top. The scenes with fingers being blown off and broken almost made me hurl.

well then, cut it to five minutes and put it on youtube where it belongs.

that did not deserve screen time.

"my new haircut" was more entertaining.

It depends how you look at it. I picked it up a week or so ago when I was mentally exhausted after work and wanted something very dynamic, with good action, some humor and little drama. This was perfect. I do like more complicated movies, but in its class - dynamic & simple action / grotesque parody - Shoot 'Em Up is superb. If you expect a serious movie, this is not it. If you can stomach black humor - damn, it is great.

And I think Shooter, actually, sucks ass. I'm posting this not because I liked Shoot 'Em Up so much, but because I absolutely loathed the Shooter. I've read the book and it's totally awesome. The author obviously has done a great job researching the subject and he put a lot of effort in writing. The movie, though, is the opposite - cheap effortless flick created to ride on the book's success. I couldn't help but keep saying "what the fuck" almost for the entire movie. Complete miscasting, bleak actors, horrible action, boring... This is just my personal opinion, of course. But read the book if you haven't done so and you will know where I'm coming from.

+1, you can buy Doberman off amazon.co.uk or on ebay.

But note that it won't play in "normal" unlocked region 1 DVD players.. I fucking hate MPAA AND RIAA.

+1 on Monica being a hottie. The movie was pretty good it's all in how you look at it. I mean it's no academy award winner, but I'm a guy that every now and then wants to just crazy ass car scenes, bullets flying, and hot looking women. Oh yeah and that fake ass baby he was carrying and carrot he used as a weapon was some funny shit.. LOL

this is also my biggest gripe about bluray too, region coding is so stupid!! they love fucking us over with that. DVD was bad enough but to continue doing it with new formats is bullshit.

Yeah, but it's supposed to be over the top, goofy fun.

I mean, he delivers a baby during a gunfight, slides 50 feet on a patch of oil while shooting and killing a half dozen bad guys...has sex with Monica during a gunfight...

The BJ scene caught me off guard...I should have seen that coming.
