Motorcycle/ATV/Snowmobile Saftey Product Research

As part of a school project our team was to come up with an idea for a product or service. We have chosen to \"create\" a safety device for motorcycles, ATV's and snowmobiles. The basic idea is that when involved in an accident the device would transmit GPS location data to the local authorities. The device would be a small module that would be installed on the vehicle for free and would have a monthly cost.

Any info would be appreciated.
Please see that attached poll.

-Sato Bonzai CF, 15/41, Braided Steel Lines, PC3r, Flapper, Pair, Soft Rev mod, Sato Rear Sets, BST Carbon Wheels, Brembo brakes, Gregg's Flushmounts, Dussault Undertail, ZG DB smoked, CRG brake/clutch lever, Scotts damper, Ohlins Forks

Everyone crashes. Some get back on. Some don't. Some can't.

There already is a company that does that. Their design goes into a helmet. If you hit your head, help is on the way.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

Just another tracking device. A better idea would be to offer monitary incentive for passer bys to actualy call help for you, instead of gawking and driving on by.

I know about that but this is intended to go on the bike insted of the helmet and also have GPS tracking ability if your bike was stolen. Think OnStar + LoJack...

Thanks for the link... It does sound like half of our idea. For the project; we have written the concept statement and now we need primary research and since this forum is our target market I am trying to get some input. Your help is greatly appreciated.
