How paranoid are you?>

With all the recent craziness going on in this world and your past, how paranoid are you? Me, been through a lot of shit in my past (gangbangers wanting to kill me, some douche lighting my Prelude on fire tryin' to blow it up, had my car broken into a bunch of times, just to name a few), i am paranoid as hell! This might sound crazy, actually, i know it will, but i bring a firearm out to my car while i wash it. Why? I live in an area where i have a lot of people that walk by (little strip mall nearby). I've had people randomly come up to me asking me for rides (WTF?), for money, just flat out weird shit, while i wash my vehicle. Also, my driveway is right next to an alley, so people can come out of nowhere and attack me while my back is turned. I don't do it often, only the times that no one is home. Hell, after a late ride, i'll ride around my neighborhood just to see if there's anything out of place (vans, people, etc etc). Ok, feel free to call me crazy, or is this normal behavior for some of you lol?

Discuss.

You sound like quite the thug, lol.

My only advice is not to think about it too much because that just causes stress. We all know stress is a killer in itself.

Just be smart and analyze all consequences.

You'd be surprised how bad Skompton has become. That said Robbie is a magnet for bad luck and I don't blame him for being so paranoid.

Me? I live in Hoffman Estates, the worst thing I've seen in the 5 years I've been there is a completely buck nekked guy who looked like he was a meth head running down the street with 3 police cars (yes 3) slowly following him. I think they were arguing with each other over the radio about who had to cuff him. So I'm not that paranoid but I take precautions since I've had each car that I've owned broken in to once each. Plus we live in Chicagoland, everyone's a freakin opportunist so why give em a reason?

I'm not that paranoid, except for three things:
(1) the asian lady next door is going to eventually leave a flaming bag of poo on our doorstep
(2) I'm going to die in a fiery plane crash
(3) one day I will drink too much and care too little about myself and end up sleeping with burntash

Shuttup. Like you said, i live in Skokie, but as i posted, i have weird encounters with fuckers that pop out of nowhere and it scares the shit out of me. For example. The fucktard that lit my Lude up was just released out of prison. He could know where i reside and run up on me while i'm in the toilet taking a shit.

Phil, we kinda grew up together, you know what kinda shit i've been through. I guess you'd have to know me to understand...

Oh yeah, my dad's crazy too. I prolly get it from him.

I've been through combat twice and numerous "peacekeeping" missions. So the little paranoia does not get to me. I just sometimes get the whole big picture paranoia. Comet hitting the earth, nuclear explosion, Global warming, etc...

I wonder what type of crappy world I am leaving behind for my kid.

I've lived in a ton of bad neighborhoods while in college. I went to UIC when it was shit... lived on Racine between Taylor and Roosevelt across the street from the projects. One fucking night I heard a gunshot... I crept up to the window and I see some dudes shoot a car window in.

My senior year I moved to the Wicker Park area(division and ashland), when it was still pretty shady... again I hear gunshots ... my dumbass decides to go check it out and the shooter spots me in the alley. I shat myself and ran back into my apartment.

I've lived in Humboldt Park too with the gunshot detectors...

Yeah, I'm way too paranoid, but I totally blame it on TV...

- Got some drunk texts one night from a friends phone and instead of me thinking she was just drunk and joking around, i thought someone slipped ruffies in her drink and was gonna rape her.

- I have a neighbor who is kinda creepy and I'm always worried he's spying on me. I've actually randomly checked my smoke detectors and exhaust fans and such for hidden cameras.

- I am so paranoid about someone breaking into my house that I will walk through my entire house every single night before i go to bed and check to make sure every window and door is locked.

Yeah... I know I'm nutz.

The people most likely to cause you harm, grief and heartache are those close to you. The ones that claim to be your friend, or maybe even your good friend. So with that said, I'm really worried that some of you know where I live.

When I move into my new place, I will have to trim the fat once again.

yeah it was fucked up "looking back on it years later" but for the most part it was what i knew it was my surrounding it was the environment i was handed to deal within. deal with it i did, but i always knew the shit that was going on around me wasn't what i wanted to continue living in dealing with and be a part of.

friends getting shot, stabbed RIGHT in front of me. even was stabbed myself in high school which i had to defend myself and i dont want to talk about that, but yeah i had some hard younger years. there is a way out we just have to make that move for it.

our past dont make us who we are. we are in control of that at all times.
