Hit a personal milestone today.

According to my "Quit Keeper" meter, I've been officially smoke free for 6 months now. That's a freakin' accomplishment for me considering that I used to smoke like a chimney. Everyday gets easier. Folks if I could do it, you could do it.

"I have been quit for 6 Months, 15 hours, 21 minutes and 13 seconds (184 days). I have saved $664.70 by not smoking 3,692 cigarettes. I have saved 1 Week, 5 Days, 19 hours and 40 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 8/16/2007 12:00 AM"

I quit in January 1st this year. To be completely honest, it was pretty fucking easy! I thought about smoking for the first week and then I was over it. I'm convinced that if you really want to quit(most who try to quit don't want to quit) it's pretty easy to do so.

+1

I've quit for about 6 months now.

first couple days are agony, but then the smoke starts to smell like shit and it gets to be a relief that you don't smell like "those" people.

Same here. I've tried to quit many times in the past and have wanted to kill myself I wanted a smoke so bad. This time, it was nothing. I still get a little craving here and there, but nothing that doesn't go away by getting distracted.

It's good to hear that so many people have stopped smoking.
From what I understand that it can be easy to start back up again but, with every body supporting each other like they have been in this thread. With those that ever have the itch for "just one", it's good to talk to someone else about it or get your hands on something else.
Keep up the good work folks
