Yeah, this year has been really bad. They are patching them all the time, but with the constant on and off snow storms it is like they have given up fixing them . Hopefully, there will only be a few more weeks of this stuff. Either way, I will be okay. If I can't ride, I snowboard, if I can't snowboard, I ride .

This is also the most ice I have seen in years. The weather warms up and then freezes the next day. In my alley, there is a car frozen in. There is no way for the car to get out. I'll try to get a pic because I have never seen anything like it.

New wheels + pothole damage = ftl.

OT: I saw a brave soul yesterday riding a 'streetfighter' down Western. Wasn't really a streetfighter, just missing plastics. Dude had no lid on, just a face mask and goggles. Balsy.

I was very tempted to ride yesterday, but the radar showed waves of rain passing across the city, so I just did maintenance on the bike and threw it back in the garage.

You can't place expansion joints in a vertical direction dick

...and teh majority of the problems are from surface overlays and patches...blame old Blago for that garbage...IDOT's budget is shot to hell. Well, at least for the state roads

Why do they have the gaps in the concrete road ways then? I always thought they were for expanding and contracting...

Didn't they say they spent 4X more already this season on snow removal than they normally spend in one season. We got our asses kicked this time.

Grand isn't bad (from 41 towards Gurnee Mills). Hey, as long as the streets aren't like Dilley rd (back then), then you're all good.
