There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Posted on this site. Been on a few rides. Been to a few CLSB outings recently. Did the Christmas party that Thunderstruck threw. Met a lot of peeps that night. The UFC fight at Foundry followed by downtown Nappythrill. Pho and night of drinking at bar. Did the Malibu night out. Tried to hook up with you guys for Eugene and Mao's b-day but got there too late and ended up next door. Wish I could make it out to bowling but weeknights are really tough for me. Plus I don't like drinking during the week. You guys will see more of my ugly mug come this summer. I can't wait for riding season to start. I've been staring at my bike more lately.

Went on my first Starved Rock ride. My first time riding with people who actually knew how to ride well...yes, I was scared in the beginning and I was probablly over my head a bit But I loved the rush and I really liked the people I met on that first few rides.

A lot of people I met on that first few rides are people I would still consider really good firends. Cheyenne, G2G, Chills, Cerk, Bug, Busagirl, Ronnie..a bunch others. People who went out of their way to talk to the new guy and help him out

Eric

Fixed it for ya. Mandy was amazed people showed up for no money to do manual labor in 90 degree temps. Afterwayds, Phil and Andrew took a quick spin up and down bluff road with me. We say a guy with jeans, no shirt and a helmet with a mohawk on it. Good times. Met Bug and Tony for lunch, good times.

I will have a roof party this year, and you are all invited again. Free food this time.

First Fridays are hit or miss. I have a couple arty friends who poach most of their one nighters from there.

I have seen lots of good prospects at charity functions. Usually a food & wine event to benefit kids or whatever. Top notch women and all the guys are douches. I'm only at these events because I'm donating my time to cook food, but if I was on the prowl I'd put on a nice suit and go to work.

That's awesome. You just went up to her and said "Hey, can I take you out sometime?" Or was there some small talk at first. I'm assuming it had to be quick convo since you were at a light.

+1 on posting on this board. I moved here 5 years ago not knowing a single person. I'd say 90% of my Chicago friends are from this board.

+1 for the SR runs. Those are always interesting.

I've also met really cool people climbing. You get to know some unique individuals there.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
