Most You would spend on Clothes

Besides Riding gear or other hobby related clothing. What is the most you would spend on an article of clothing. I saw an ad that had a pretty cool looking bomber jacket in it and it cost $3200.00

How much is too much for clothing for you?

I have a $500.00 Sport Coat that I bought to go on job interviews and I ended up taking the first one so se la vi

I would not spend more than $700 on something. That would most likely be a suit of some sort.

Where is Norton, last time this came up I remember that dude being serious about his clothes . I could care less about clothes unless it is some specific gear for specific purposes.

Suit...$1000
Shoes...$250
Pants...$200
Shirt...$200
Jacket...$500

This is the most I would spend at this point in my life. Not saying I have spent this much already, but I would if I had to.

Fuck dude - What type of clothes are we talking about? The price will vary depending on what we are talking about - I am not going to list what I spend on shit just to get the whole "WTF, do you know how many________you could buy" response - If I like it and I can afford it and know that i will use it, I'll fuckin buy it

It breaks down for me as such - Lets say I want a $1K leather jacket to wear when I go out - Will the coat still be in good shape and be cool in 3 years? If so, then i can live with buying a coat that will break down to less than $1.00 a day to own - I have $300.00 Sunglasses that I have had for 3 yrs and in my head, I have gotten my 3 bills worth out of them

its all relative to how much money you have to spend, going out and buying a Armani Suit would be nothing for some of us, but would be outrageous for others. I would spend a grand or more for a nice designer suit, its just all the accessories that add up shoes belt tie watch.

Ha... I feel the same way about the money I spend on makeup, hair extensions and purses. Crap, I'd be buying a new bike every year in cash!

I don't really have any limits on how much I spend on clothes. I typically spend $150 on jeans and I've got a suit that was $800. Typically my shirts are under a hundred. I used to spend a lot more on clothes but once the kid came I had to cut back.

slacks - 200
suites - 1300
jeans - 100
tshirts - 20

It depends, I'll drop $1k or so on a nice suit but im always up for a bargain to. Bachrach has some nice suits you can get for $500 or so. Avg clothes though I'd rather goto AE or similiar store and check out the sale racks. You can get some good clothes for $30 a shirt

edit: oh and sunglasses, no way would i buy more than the mall quick shop. I sit on them and break them constantly.

I'm a total clothes/shoe/handbag freak! I have 30+ pairs of boots (mostly heeled) alone.

I love designer clothes, and have a lot...especially suits (Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, Ellie Tahari, Armani and Escada are my fav's and what I have the most of). I have no problem spending $$$ on quality tailored suits. They just fit so well, and 'classic' styling never goes out of fashion.

I am lucky though... I have an extremely wealthy friend I show dogs with, and she cleans out her closet a few times a year and I get first crack (usually never worn...price tags attached). So sitting in my closet I have a pair of Escada leather boots...price $1800.00, Black label Armani blouse $900.00, Anne Klein cocktail dress $1100..and it goes on.

Today she told me I can have the Manolo Blahnik strappy sandals I have admired in her closet (shoes made famous by Carrie on sex and the city). I don't even want to imagine what those cost..lol

Now if she'd only let me have her Benz.
