Picked up a dog a couple days ago

Went down to the City shelter and picked this guy up. It took a couple of weeks to close the deal, since the figured out he had kennel cough when he went in for neutering and had to clear that up before he could go.

By the way, I can't say enough good things about the staff at Chicago Animal Control. They were all very professional and very helpful, and made it pretty easy to get everything squared away.

Shelter dogs make your home warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter. They also reduce stress levels, and make you live longer. Shelter dogs are cooler than Chuck Norris

His shelter name is Squirt, ominously enough. Not sure yet if I'm going to stick with that or not.

Six years old, which is conveniently old enough to know the basic commands (sit, stay, come) which works out very well.
