Been looking for a cosigner for a bike...

I'm a Purdue flight student and need someone to sign a student loan for me. It will be between $10,000-$15,000 and I don't have to make payments on it until I graduate, and when I graduate I will have a full time job. After the first 48 payments, the co-signer no longer has any responsibility. I will pay the person $1,000 via paypal, cashier's check, personal check, or however you want it.

I keep putting up posts on the Wanted section very similar to the one above and I haven't really gotten any interest. The loan is a student personal loan so I get a check and can spend it how I wish. My parents are paying for my college (flight school is extremely expensive) so they think that if I want a bike badly enough that I can do it without them. Is anyone here interested? Anyone have any ideas on how to create a post that seems less scammish? I've received a few replies of people calling me an idiot and a scammer. I'm going to have a full-time job when I graduate with a Professional Flight degree from Purdue, so really the risk is minimal. Any suggestions/interest from anyone would be appreciated.

Are you serious??? No matter what you post up it's gonna look like a scam. Plus I just don't understand why you think someone that you don't know would risk ruining thier credit for you. Maybe you might be able to find a sucker on craigslist.

do you realize what your asking from someone you don't know (doesn't matter) how much you you pay them unless they are a secured financial institution is nuts for agreeing to something like this! its for that reason you will have 1 heck of a time.

let me give you some advise while your still young. don't buy nothing you cant afford not and in under a installment agreement unless you are 100% positive you can afford it.

at this time it looks like you cant, there for don't bother with crap like this until your in a better situation. as well as do it under your own credit.

I'll do it for you. Meanwhile, I need someone to look after my checking account for me, oh and also my kids' college savings accounts, and might as well look after my 401k too.

So, I can look after your loan, I'll let you in charge of my financial life. Sound good?

Purdue students, WOW! College kids ARE entitled to everything.

I agree with Ken. If you cannot afford it and, beyond that, can't even get a loan for it with your own name, then don't get it. I absolutely love riding, but if I couldn't even get a loan for a bike, I'd just wait it out. Outside of that advice, I'd say go to family.

Most insane thing I have ever read, this can not be serious. I know parents that will not cosign for their own kids.

Flight school ehh, sounds like somthing for people with money. Get a job and pay as you go.

PM me - I'll be happy to cosign. I have the following stipulations:

The bike (and all keys) remain in my garage. You can "sign out for it" as you please, but can never be gone for more than 24 hours. You make the payments, and cover the insurance, license, registration, etc. In addition - I'm allowed to use the bike as I please, when I please.

The bike cannot be removed from my property without my express written consent.

I'll draw up the paperwork and get a notary ready to go. You lemme know when you're ready to pull the trigger slick.

He a kid at worked asked me to cosign for a bike loan for him. So it doesnt surprise me anymore how much lack of character these kids have nowadays.

Junior, if you need spending money, get a freaking part time job.

BTW what the hells a "Professional Flight degree"?

jesus christ I just wanted some help. And don't bash on Purdue. It has one of the best professional pilot programs in the nation and flight isn't even it's main focus, unlike schools like Embry Riddle. Thanks to the people that took this seriously, I appreciate your input. And if anyone is interested in getting to know me and then possibly doing this, please PM me, I'm not giving up, I made myself a promise last May that I'd have a bike within a year and I'm doing whatever I can.

P.S. go to www dot tech dot purdue dot edu and go to academics, aviation technology and then on that page academics undergraduate and then on the left is info for professional flight. I can't post links yet because I haven't posted enough.
