The car we just bought.....

2005 Scion Xa. I'm in love. Rides so smooth, feels good to drive, and is just how I would have built it if I bought a new one.

Thank Goodness someone convinced him to stay away from the '85 Civics he was in love with, this looks way nicer and will last much longer. Congrats!

I got my xB back from the body shop on Friday. I didn't drive it all weekend because I took the SV out. Driving the SV to work today after 7 weeks of being without...it was kinda weird.

Congrats on the xA! It's a good car!

I'm really considering trading in the '05 xB on a Special Edition '08 xB. Elmhurst Scion is trying to find me one in Manual, but there will only be 200 of them made worldwide!

it's auto, and like I said I'm in love already. My girlfriend has an Xb and she has been telling me for like a year that I needed a Scion too. When I told her what I bought she said I am not a member of the cool kids club. I thought I joined that club with the cb360t?

It's too hard to drive in traffic, text on the phone, read the paper, and drink your coffee if you have to worry about the minor shit like shifting.

Also, congrats Mandy. One of the Scions would be on my list of vehicles to have if I weren't married, and didn't need the tow vehicle. Whenever we punt the BMW, I want to try talking him into a Scion or a Smart Car.

Speaking of jerking off, how many carpal tunnel surgeries have you had? And Mandy is right. I took a train to nowhere last night, and was on clsb for 5 hours.

Mandys car is cool, and she loves it. The dealership, Woodfield Nissan, took terrific care of us. Irwin is the dealerships right hand man, and he made sure not only us, but everyone there was taken care of. We will be buying our next car from there.

Yeah, the 2008 Release Series 5.0 looks like this with slighly different ground FX.

The actual color is Gold Rush Mica. The Mica gives a slight color shift as the light hits it. I saw one going down the road last Wed, and as soon as I picked my car up from the body shop ($6000 of damage!), I went straight to the dealership to work the numbers on a trade in.

Here is the web page for the XB RS 5.0

http://www.scion.com/rsxb/

Sorry to derail your thread, Mandy. Peanut was looking at the xA for herself. When he Sentra dies, she's going to get a Scion. Pretty damn good cars for the money, and the Scion are made in Japan in the same plants as Lexus from what I read. That explains why the Scion have such a high reliability rating.

The Xa has a Toy engine in it, and the TRD parts book is chock full of stuff for her car. If I could get a bike in the back of an Xb or Xd, I would more than likely buy one. I read somewhere a bike wound not fit in the back of one. I will roll up to the dealer this summer with the Duc and ask for a testride with the Duc in the back. That should be interesting.

Mandy and I now have a fun car for cage day. We will put Bug and Maynard in the back seat for added entertainment. True story.

The only thing I don't like about the car is that it comes with "RS Hubcaps." If they are making it a special edition, at least add some rims to the car.

Other than that, I think it looks pretty sweet. Definitely a unique color. I wish the tC got cool colors like that. It's either red, blue or white for the RS edition.

Funny thing the women never seemed to complain when I would take them riding LoL.

I was really dissapointed in that. Especially since the new xB is more like the tC. It has the tC motor and suspension, which includes the tC 5 lug rotors at all 4 corners. I'd even be happier with stock tC wheels on the RS!

Scion means, "child of". Like in the Kevin Smith movie Dogma how they were looking for "the last Scion" AKA the last child of Christ.

The Scion brand was created by Toyota to be the more hip and street smart styled cars. Scion/Toyota regularly host break dancing tournaments, car shows, and have VIP DJ nights at dance clubs. My first real date with Brianne was a Car Show/Break Dancing tournament in the city. It was pretty neat and looked like it could have been the set of a movie it was so well done.

Unfortuantely a lot of the HonDuh ricer kiddies have latched onto Scion as the next new thing. Early on it was kind of a cool kids club, but I got tired of the kiddies and walked away from the scene.
