Oh man,
I can't believe they snuffed Omar, He was my favorite character.
I thought for sure he was going to go out in a blaze of glory in the very last episode.

oh well

I think McNulty is going to Jail for awhile when what really happened breaks.

I knew he was going to buy it it just had that feeling.

Did you listen to the FBI profile they described McNulty to a tee.

Yeah that was cracking me up.
He was looking more and more uncomfortable the closer they described him.

"They're in the ballpark..."

Ha ha.

I don't know, with the crimes that are being solved, and all that bad publicity tha would come with going public that this was a fraud, I think he may have a saving grace somehow.

Agree with both statements. I figured he was the only only tough enough to take on Chris & Snoop.

I'm thinking the same thing. Maybe cause the money is actually going towards solving other case seeming unsolvable previously.

You guys might be right on it being to big of an embarrassment if /when it finally does break.

My favorite scene for Omar's character was last year in Court when he was being cross examined by the (Guys on the corner's ) lawyer and the lawyer was trying to make a point of Omar making money profiting from Drug dealers, and Omar replied, Just like you.

Sorry to see Omar go, but I figured it was coming the way he was out there looking for Marlo. He should have continued to stalk Marlo instead of out in the open.

And I can't believe the Senator got off on those corruption charges. The DA really fawked that up.

I was cracking up on the FBI profile of McNulty too. It was funny to see him squirm as they read it. He's going to get busted for this soon, probably with the missing homeless guy being found and the person at the shelter identifying McNulty as the person that dropped him off there.

I'm happy to see the newspaper guy squirm too with his made up stories.

This is probably the best-written show on television, I love it. No magical fairy-land storybook ending in each episode.

I did read an interesting article on the plane other day about Baltimore officials not liking the negative-view of their city in the show, fictional or not.

I was hoping Omar was going to make it to the end, but you knew that he was going to get it in some gritty, unheroic fashion. But it's looking like the clue Bunk pulled from his body is going to help the wiretap case.

After watching this show for 5 season, I'd like to see the wiretap come to some frutation as it's clear that Omar isn't going to be dropping Marlo now, it's up to the city to get those guys. And I don't see the serial killer case's truth coming out, it would destroy everything. They already explored that storyline with Bunny's Hamsterdamn project.

Wow! F'n Wow!

McNulty is in big time trouble maybe.

Mike popping Snoop was not expected.

I think they get their 10% drop and people forget about him.

10%? With Chris in jail, Snoop dead by Micheal, and all of the muscle that Omar took before he was killed, and all the eyes that will be on Marlo, I would expect a bigger drop, lol.

Althought they do show Cheese about to kill, and Marlo fighting with someone, I'm guessing Micheal.

From the little snippet they showed on the preview for next week, it seems as though they're giving McNulty a chance to clean it up.

Is the stuff they gathered from the bust going to be admissible in court because the taps were for something else ?

McNulty is going to be sweeping under the jail

I'm thinking the evidence gets tossed out and Marlo goes free.
And I hope the newspaper guy with his fake quotes/stories gets lit up.

Can't wait for the finale!

They ended it the only way they could that people who play ball succed and those that rock the boat don't.

The wake for McNulty was great! Everybody singing the Pogues: Body of the American.

Mike turning into the new Omar. Dukey the next Bubbles....One fantastic show I will miss it.

I thought it was a good ending. You're exactly right Paladin, the people who play ball keep going and those that don't....well don't.

I thought Mike would be the next Marlo instead of the next Omar.

But Marlo returned to the street, despite the deal made. You saw him leave that stuffy meet and greet, and get back to one of the corners, and look around, and let you know he was comfortable...he was home.

The show actually ended, and showed you who progressed, and closed the book on a few people. Very good ending.

Was interesting that Daniels, who was seeming to make out the best career-wise ended up having to eat shit or retire while everyone else got a promotion out of it, except for McNulty and Freeman, of course.

I would have much rather saw this show run 10 seasons instead of the Sopranos.

Yup, this show ended at least a season too soon while the Sopranos probably went a season too long judging by how the last season went.

I liked the ending on the Wire better than the ending for the Sopranos. I'm sad to see either gone though.

watched it last night but i'm confused about something. Did Herc tell the lawyer about the illegal phone tap? It seemed that's what happened but I'm not sure. Great ending though. Didn't even think about the Dukey-Bubs connection.

Herc was sort of playing both sides. He didn't tell Leay that he was the one who gave the police Marlo's cell phone number, but he was honest about the 'investigating' he was doing. Herc didn't know if there was or wasn't a tap since he wasn't in on the fake-serial-killer angle, he was ust guessing since the whole thing smelled of Freeman's handy-work.

So short anwser is he told the lawyer that he 'thought' there had to be an illegal wiretap, but he didn't know that there was one.
