ok, its time to go way back...

You're truely old school if you can remember this cheeze tune.

This song reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on Billboard's dance chart in 1986.

That first song is terrible....

1985, lets talk about these:

The Power Of Love, Huey Lewis and The News
The Heat Is On, Glenn Frey
Miami Vice Theme, Jan Hammer
The Wild Boys, Duran Duran
Run To You, Bryan Adams
Would I Lie To You?, Eurythmics
I Can't Hold Back, Survivor
Summer Of '69, Bryan Adams
Some Like It Hot, Power Station

No, Wham does not make the list!

Put The Needle On The Record

I hated that song. And it's so obvious this school wasn't even close to the old skool I know. Was this school in the suburbs or something?

Hey, bring on the block parties, turn on the fire hydrants, give me some roller skates, and an afro baby (even a jherri curl)! Bring back when it didn't matter race or sex. And EVERYONE dug what was going on. Just good times and good feelings. This is old skool for me:

Thanks OldSkool for takin' us back!

I guess you missed the part where I said "cheeze tune".

I never said it was good.

And I went to two different high schools - 10001 S. Pulaski Road, Chicago. The other was in Oak Lawn. (like school location makes any difference to music tastes)

The actual old school music that I personally listen to is mostly metal from the 80s such as Slayer, Metallica(before black album), Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Metal Church, SOD...etc Then there is some old school techno shit I like...but I have always been more of a band listener. I also like tons of 60s and 70s rock bands such as Zep, Jeff Beck, stones...etc but still favor 80s Metal.

Yeah, I missed the cheese part. Still, the 80's will always be the best of times I think for a ton of people. There were no "borders" and you could listen to every genre of music. Great times.
