How about the time UPS delivered a package that was addressed to me 5 houses down. They penalized me for this after an investigation.

Reminds me of dropping a letter in a mail box with no stamp and the destination address in the return address field, only to have them deliver it to the destination address stating it could not be delivered due to insufficient postage .

I've done that before... first just curious to see if it would work and then when it did work I was just being a cheap ass.

The first time it happened by accident, forgot a stamp, and it was sent to my house, but I knew I dropped it off on the opposite side of town. So when I didn't feel like going to the post office I used this method .

This is why you should put the receivers phone number on the form where it says "phone number"

I once had this message sent to me once.

I couldnt have a package delivered yesterday.

"Your package cannot be delivered for the following reason."

"Train Derailment"

The train derailed and all the contents were thrown into the desert. Of course it was a gun that was being shipped. It was never found .

Good luck w/ the package. Last time that happened to my friend the package was lost for about 6 weeks.

Turns out he had shipped two boxes - one containing a motorcycle helmet, one of his boots, bike jacket, and gloves. The other box contained saddle bags and the other boot.

He was flying in from Seattle to here to ride his new (to him) bike home that I fixed up for him. Of course the box that had the saddle bags and one boot was the one to arrive - the other with the jacket and helmet was gone.

So much for trying to plan for a trip! Thankfully I had a spare helmet/jacket for him to use.
