Awesome Illegal alien rant

Quote:
A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials
in ages!!! It explains things better than all
the baloney you hear on TV.

Her point:

Recently large demonstrations have taken place
across the country protesting the fact that Congress
is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.

Certain people are angry that
the U.S. might protect its own
borders, might make it harder
to sneak into this country and,
once here, to stay indefinitely.

Let me see if I correctly understand
the thinking behind these protests:

Let's say I break into your house.
Let's say that when you discover
me in your house, you insist that I leave.
But I say, "No! I like it here.
It's better than my house. I've made all
the beds and washed the
dishes and did the laundry
and swept the floors. I've
done all the things you don't
like to do. I'm hard-working
and honest
(except for when I broke into your house).

According to the protesters:
You are Required to let me stay in your house
You are Required to feed me
You are Required to add me to your family's insurance plan
You are Required to Educate my kids
You are Required to Provide other benefits to me & to my family
(my husband will do all of your yard work because
he is also hard-working and honest, except for that
breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out,
I will call my friends who will picket your
house carrying signs that proclaim my
RIGHT to be there.
It's only fair, after all, because you have
a nicer house than I do, and I'm just
trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working
and honest, person, except for well,
you know, I did break into your house
And what a deal it is for me!!!

I live in your house, contributing only a
fraction of the cost of my keep, and
there is nothing you can do about it
without being accused of cold,
uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and
bigoted behavior.
Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you learn
MY LANGUAGE!!! so you can
communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous
this is?! Only in America .
if you agree, pass it on ( in English ).
Share it if you see the value of it.
If not blow it off.........
along with your future Social Security
funds, and a lot of other things
As a LEGAL alien... Bravo

Namaste

I liked it. I never understood why they didn't at least start the paperwork.

Methinks some people that are here legally may have relatives that aren't and factor into this. This is why there is so much opposition to enforcing the already existing laws. You know like in the old saying, "Blood is thicker than water.". The water might be a river or maybe even an ocean. We need REAL and compassionate reform. We can afford to put 1 out of every 100 people in america in a big, new, highly funded prison for mostly drug related offenses. But then the government wants me to believe that we can't come up with an quick and efficient method to check these people into the system without amnesty. COME ON. Get real. The whole damn database would probably fit on a laptop.

This topic is a political football that the political partys don't want to go away.

don't most illegals with fake SS cards pay into the fund and will never reap those benefits? I don't think people should come in illegally by any means and to me an amnesty is a slap in the face to the people who pursued immigration lawfully but I think this point isn't valid.

That would be referencing the minority of illegal immigrants. To fit that bill they would have to A: have an on the books job and B: have fake papers. The problem is most are under the table jobs; farming, day labor, construction, etc. This is why the government is trying to crack down on employers. Even still the 1000 dollars they may pay into social security will never cover the free medical, education, and rental subsidies they receive. Not to mention the millions of dollars being spent to try and convert the school system and standardized testing to support non-english speaking children. Just my

someone should translate it into spanish.. then get it in the hands of a self hating illegal 15 yr old so he can spam everyone.

ive read it before.. well said.

i dont feel its black and white like that.. I see both sides.. and I am fairly certain the govt is gonna screw the pooch with this one.. The have to make absolute rules.. and absolute rules dont fit situations like this very well.. either to rigid and not enough wiggle room.. or to loose and to much wiggle room. sadly absolutel rules have to be the best solution.. as the other kind can be just as unfair... i think i might be babbling.. hopefully someone understands what i am trying to say
