Greetings from Austin...

Prepare to fall into a jealous rage...

... I finally got my stuff all set up here in my apartment and thought I'd give a shout out to all the Chicago peeps.

The weather here is amazing. 80-85 and sunny every day... I don't think I've gone a day without riding. And when I say riding I don't mean squidding around... I mean RIDING. There are probably at least 50 different routes down here that range from 1-2 hours to all-day affairs... and they are all beautiful.

Motorists actually respect motorcycles here... the roads are VERY nice and the twisties are many. Plus cops don't mess with bikes here so taking sweepers on a 2-lane road at 110 isn't a problem at all.

Needless to say I love it here. And I'll be riding year-round. Count on it! Any time you yankees want to head down you've got a friend in Texas. Peace!

Congratulations! Somebody had to move to a location where real riding can be done! Not like northern Ohio!

Ummm, i didn't realize there were roads like that in texas??!? Just another reason why I'm moving south-southwest when I graduate college. I'm not gonna go into how much I hate winter.

Damn you Stydie...damn you.

Pictures are definitely coming. I have some that will make you guys cringe. God definitely DID bless texas.

Cook - glad to hear you were able to profit from my departure!

Kim - Y'all are honestly welcome to come down whenever. I hope you have at least a week to see all the roads down here.

Craze - Yeah you need to get down here... I never realized how cool the south/southwest was.

The only thing is that sometimes it gets a little hot and I go out and squid around in a t-shirt and sunglasses. Not the best idea but what can ya say. I'll tell you one thing... NO ONE wears protective gear here... I see helmets on about half the people and NO ONE wears jackets/etc. It's interesting.

Wheeeeeeeeee!!

You're welcome to come down. Hope you either have a great business sense or like to work hard labor... cause that's about all there is down here.

I actually lucked out... one of the guys on the crew I've been working with was impressed by my financial background and offered to give me a 50% stake in a construction company he is starting up. We've already incorporated and everything and have SIX MONTHS of work lined up without having hammered a single nail.

Sometimes I wonder how I fall into these incredible situations! For the first month our average take PER DAY (minus expenses and overhead) is about $2,000-$3000. Once we get the company ramped up we'll be making far more.

BACK TO RIDING... it's actually NOT that hot here. Unless you go riding at 3PM on a random day when it hits 90-100... it's beautiful. I throw on my phoenix (or the gericke) and head out... I've never once thought "man it's hot out". Maybe it's just me though

Damnit, this rampage must have ended this weekend. I was down there twice this weekend, and unfortunately found no rampaging hot chicks looking for guys named Chris

Stydie, I emailed you through the board. I'll be down there on Thursday visiting my brother. It looks like Saturday night I'll be hitting State Street.

I've been thinking of riding down there someday. I've been to Austin a few times, it's beautiful out there, I also like 6th/7th steet or avenue bars

Good to hear from you, just cause you live in a different state, doesn't mean that you can't post here
