One of the Best Gifts Ever.....

My Dad and his Wife presented me with one of the most sentimental gifts I have ever received this weekend. They gave me an American Flag that Flew over the skies of Camp Slayer in Iraq, along with this:

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Very, very cool!

My family and I were lucky enough to get a flag from a Marine on September 11, 2007 that was flown at Camp Workhorse in Al Anbar.

It's something very special to my family and I, and after the tears were done, now we had to figure out how to display it.

You might be in a similar position, so I'll give you this ebay link to a former Marine that makes boxes for flags and their certificates.

I'm sure you'll cherish your gift, and you'll pass it along to someone in your family some day too.

I was definately choked up, and it was hard for me to say anything for awhile.

Thanks for the link, I have found the one I was looking for on his site!

thats good stuff. Charish it

I have a friend that got back from there about 1 1/2 years ago and he really wont talk about it. I am sure its hard on him because I've seen the change and when people have asked him about it and if he's killed anybody he just closes up even more so I'm sure some crazy thoughts go through his mind.

As much as I'm not for whats going on I have to give props to the one's that are takeing care of it on the field..
