So who else made this a 4 day weekend?

I know I am not the only one out here that felt Friday was a perfect day to dump a vacation day.

We're closing down at 3:00. Gonna go shopping at the Harley shop for my Mom.

Seems I do a lot of shopping for presents at HD too. Everyone I know buys the stuff for me, then I end up buying it for them. Everyone's happy then. They should just move HD shops to the malls.

LOL, SloRoll... Lake Shore had a store in Gurnee Mills (not sure if it's still there)... and let's not forget Chicago H-D downtown on Ohio Street. Gucci saddlebags, anyone?

I like to wait for Lake Shore's tent sales... 75% off (but ya gotta pay cash). Picked up an awesome long-sleeved, lined leather shirt for $40, and got my toddler nephew totally outfitted for $25.

I'm off today, Sat. and Sun., then back to work on Mon. No vacation, just my regular schedule. I get holiday pay on Mon. and 1-1/2 if I work so I get 20 hours pay for that 8 hour shift. I can BBQ anytime.

My wife thinks we're a bunch of Top Gun wannabes with our call signs, so for future reference, I'm Roger

Willard: When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to my wife, until I said "yes" to a divorce. When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle.

Me but only because I took a bad slide in softball last night on a lead off tripple and am home nursing a shooting knee pain that I'm sure will require a visit to the Dr which of course is not going to happen.

I also get to work nights (while you are all asleep), weekends (while you are all riding), X-mas and New Years (while you are drinking with your families), and get to enjoy Chicago weather up close and personal. If a job was good we wouldn't get paid to do it.

I took off Friday and Saturday to go down to Springfield to do American Supercamp so it's a 4 day weekend for me. This is my 3rd year doing it. Good clean fun in the mud.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.
