swimming pool for a party help

I would like to rent an outdoor swimming pool for a party in August. There will be drinking and music
Is it even possible? If it is, does anyone have any tips, suggestions, hookups, advice.

Thank you

That is a lot of liability.

you mean rent an existing pool, or something that they bring and install in your back yard for the weekend? do they even do that with swimming pools?

turn the bars left and go right; that just isn't right

existing pool.
I remember once i was at a party in Forest Park park district pool, but there was no alcohol.

regarding liability, what if it's a private pool, club house, something like that.....

I am not a lawyer but you would probably need to get a one day liability policy. You work for Ride Chicago?
A policy like they get for renting out the lots.

You may be able to get something going at a park / YMCA, but almost all of these places won't allow alcohol. As Paladin said, it would be a huge liability risk if something bad happens and it was found that alcohol was the culprit.

If this is the case, your best bet would probably be to call up hotels with swim pools and ask them if they will allow you to rent the pool area for a night. Just don't tell them about G2G and they may let it happen with a fee, and make sure that the cops don't have to be called on the night you rent it out .

Yeah not sure if its a huge liability thing for a private place, just look at Vegas they have bars in some of the swimming pools.

But look at how much money those hotels make to pay for the liability and how many lifeguards they have on duty at all times.

Your best bet is to find a private pool somewhere, because I can almost guarantee no park district or YMCA pool will allow alcohol. I don't know that for sure though.

I imagine it will be pretty expensive to do so. It will require a few lifeguards to be on staff. Is it just for a small group or a large party. If it's a small group, it might be easier to find someone with a pool at their house and give them money.

I will see if our sub-division rents to non-residents. I believe it's $500 for 4 hours and also a security depoist, that includes life guards and changing areas. I will get all the details tomorrow night. ~Mandy
