are tripple semi's illegal in IL?

driving through indiana i see semi trucks all over hauling 3 trailers at once. I have NEVER seen this in IL

triples are only allowed on the ind. toll road and ohio turnpike. the same with the turnpike doubles ( two 48 footers together). At least here in the midwest.

Why? They're safe. I drive doubles. The company I work for does triples to the east all the time. Three more years and I'll get triples qualified. Ya need five years experience to pull three.

Cause of weight. I drive a gas tanker. I was thinking about a rope on the back of the tank, and say it's a fuse. We'll see who wants to light it.
