Anyone going to see King Crimson at the Park West?

Wednesday August 6th and Thursday the 7th.
Tickets went on sale today and are almost gone.
I'm hitting it on the 7th. I need my dose of Fripp.

I haven't purchased tickets yet but probably will. I've been wondering when they would come back.

I think it's the same as it's been for years:

Robert Fripp
Tony Levin
Adrian Belew
Bill Bruford

I thought Belew was dead. That is why I asked.

I think he'd be surprised to hear that. He was just at Martyr's a couple of week ago.

How old is Bruford now? And wasn't Boz Burrell from Bad Company the original Bass player?

Adrian Belew, Robert Fripp, Gavin Harrison, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto

It's wierd how the line up lists Adrian in front of Robert.

I think Buford is 59. I don't think he has played with the band for a decade+-. Time flies... Miss his beat, but Pat is good. Greg Lake (ELP) was the original bass player.

Bruford was killer on the original Yes albums...although I dig Alan White as well, he's more of a Bonham-esque drummer...all rock.

Burrell was in Crimson correct?

Fripp was never big on the spotlight. I was amazed the last time I saw him and he actually came out onto the stage instead of sitting in the dark.

Don't you mean off of his stool under the soft purple spot? I got a fist punp out of the boy last time. That is big for Robert. He is special...

Buy the tickets. They are better than they were a decade ago.

I've probably seen them at least 10 times. I'll probably have tickets before the end of the day for this and the Evening with Yes. Also already have tickets for Mark Knopfler.

I'm safe for now. I just found out that my CPA and I "goofed". I owe another 70. I was expecting 20-25. Oops... A new Z06 is off the short list till I get my breath back, but it really makes my Vette seem just eh.

Cool, right now it's just my wife and I. Do you want to try and meet up?

Forgot to post up.
Good concert. Shitty seats. It took forever to get downtown. They basically ran with a lot of Vroom and newer stuff. A quick version of Lark's tounges in aspic for the old guys.
Robert didn't even have a spot on him and hid behind a PA stack wearing headphones. I could barely see him play. He didn't even take a bow. The boy is very strange.

He never does. It was actually his Frippertronics rack that he was sitting behind. From my vantage point I could see him great! He was having a blast!

They played several I like a lot:

Elephant Talk
Three of a Perfect Pair
Frame by Frame

How did Gavin Harrison do behind the kit? He is one of my favorite drummers as of late, love his work with Porcupine Tree....

Yeah, I forgot to mention about 4 cuts from Disipline too. I had it playing in the car on the way in this morning. I was on the wrong side to see him. Note to self, ass-u-ming they come back and use Park West get there EARLY! BTW, did you notice it was only a 4 city tour? Robert is looking old...

I think Frame By Frame was my fav song this time.

Gavin and Pat were rocking. They were the ones my wife liked the best.

Damn, I forgot to post up too. We hit up the Elbow Room ,Hideaway & Exit afterwards.
My brother was late so I asked the usher for a seat & got an awesome front row balcony seat with a full view of Fripp. Only his hands moved- very strange dude.
Wish it lasted longer.
Frame by frame FTW!!!!
