Moving Blankets?

Anyone know where I can get good moving blankets locally without getting bent over on the price?

I can order them online for about $10 each, but the good ones are heavy, and shipping costs almost as much as the damn blankets...So I'm hoping I can find some locally for around $10 each.

Anyone?

I wish we could afford to do that. We are probably going to be living on Brie's parents hand-me-down furniture. We are going to be putting what little money we have into cleaning the house up. Basically paint, woodwork, carpeting, refinish deck. The house itself is in pretty damn good shape with recent/new appliances.

Yeah, and they rent them for about $8 each when I can buy them for $10!

Good moving blankets can last 10+ years...and considering we are going to be buying and moving furniture a lot over the next couple years, I'd like some quality moving blankets...otherwise I would just score some cheap, regular blankets.

The right tool for the right job and all that.

Paul, we put an offer in on the house, but since it's a foreclosed (Bank owned) house, it could take weeks for the bank to get back to me. My apartment complex was bought out, and they are basically chasing most everyone out by bumping up the rent +$400 more a month. This is basically rushing us to find a house and move in by the end of April, though we do have the option of going on a month to month (limit 3 months) for a $200 premium!

Photos are here if your curious:

I was rushed for the first 45 photos, but went back with my Tokina 12-24 Ultra-wide and took some better photos, so you may just want to start at photo #46.

Goodwill will have a box full of old comforters; you can get them for about $4 each. If you don't mind wrapping your dresser in SpongeBob.

Yeah, that is my runner up plan. But I want proper moving blankets since I'm going to be using them for a long time, and I'd like them to last.

Most self storage facilities sell moving blankets for around $10 a piece. Call around to your local storage place and see what they've got!

Oh, I didn't think of that. Thanks! That's the best lead yet!

Well, the bank has to accept the offer...then I hear it's about 4 weeks to close, and I'm going to need a week to sand and seal the deck. So give me a couple months.
